Traditional psychology often focuses on the consequences: anxiety, depression, and psychosomatic disorders. But what if we looked at the problem differently—through the lens of the resources that prevent us from breaking down? Psychological immunity is precisely this set of resources. Alena Zolotareva and her group, Psychological Immunity as a Resource for Positive Functioning, are developing an integrative model of this phenomenon, adapting diagnostic tools and preparing for large-scale empirical research. Why do psychologists need to collaborate with medical professionals, and how could their research transform preventive care in clinics and corporations?

Industrial automation is one of the key applications of artificial intelligence. A predictive analytics system for large electric motors is among the solutions being developed for the industry as part of HSE University’s Strategic Technological Project ‘Multi-Agent Platform of AI Solutions for Industry-Specific Tasks.’ What is predictive analytics, how can it improve the operation of electric motors, and what specialists joined forces to develop this technology? The HSE Graduate School of Business has launched a new Master’s Programme in Business Analytics and Digital Solutions in Finance, created jointly with Sberbank, Alfa-Bank, VTB, and the Moscow Stock Exchange with the expert support of the Bank of Russia. How did 19th-century archival maps transform into three-dimensional forest models? In July 2026, second-year students of the Geoinformation Technology and Spatial Modelling track at the HSE Faculty of Geography and Geoinformation Technologies conducted comprehensive mapping research at the Sochut Dendropark near the town of Stepanavan in Armenia. Founded in 1933 by biologist Edmond Leonovich, the arboretum is the first scientific and experimental forest ‘laboratory’ in the Transcaucasus. Here, centuries-old deciduous forests coexist with exotic coniferous plantings: Canadian hemlock, Himalayan cedar, and giant sequoias.

Roman Aminev, a fourth-year student of the Information Science and Computation Technology programme at HSE MIEM, spent his last academic year in Hungary, where he studied at Óbuda University under the academic mobility programme.
