high school students took part in the HSE’s summer professional orientation camp ‘We are together.’

For more than 10 years, the camp has helped young people in grades 8-10 choose a profession. Each day student guides tell them about the HSE’s faculties and about the professional occupations that can be studied there. Business games lasting three hours gave attendees the opportunity to “try” these professions out for themselves by simulating work situations and resolving operational issues. Examples included resurrecting an abandoned factory as a cultural space and conducting a tender for an advertising campaign. The opportunity to dip into the everyday lives of professionals and to “live through” them allowed this group of young people to investigate more thoroughly and more clearly the nature of a specialization, as well as to look at their future work in a new light.
