Getting a master's degree with honours in ‘Management in Technical Systems’ was not the end point of Evgenia Fadina’s educational trajectory. This first-year student on the HSE online master’s programme ‘Economic Analysis’ works in the project office of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Her digital master's degree will help her achieve career success in executive bodies, she believes.

By invitation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, HSE University Vice Rector Sergey Roshchin took part in the Russia-Turkmenistan business forum held on January 19–20 in Ashgabat. From December 16–18, the HSE Academic Writing Centre held a ‘Writers’ Retreat’ aimed at giving HSE University researchers an opportunity to look at their texts from a different perspective. The first two weeks of these video lectures are available to try, free of charge. At the moment, the demand for specializations which are integrated into bachelor's and master's degree programmes at the university, is growing rapidly — this is the next stage of the educational trajectory after short-term online courses.

More than 1,500 students currently study at HSE Online, including those from across Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, India, China, Germany, and others. HSE University is among the winners of the All-Russia Effective Education competition and was named Online University of the Year by the expert jury. The competition receives more than 150 applications a year from major education business players and HR industry leaders.

HSE University recently took part in EdCrunch Reload, Europe's largest conference on new technologies in education. The conference was held in Kazakhstan on November 23^rd and 24^th. Yulia Remezova, Director for eLearning, talked about the digital expertise of HSE University during a panel discussion entitled ‘Are the Giants Still Strong? The Path of Massive Online Universities in an Ever Changing Educational Context’.
