
‘We Want to Share Our Research with the Whole World’
The HSE University Faculty of Chemistry opened three years ago, and its first intake of undergraduate students is set to graduate in 2023. These students have already demonstrated impressive results in their research—half of second and third-year students have publications in journals indexed in WoS and Scopus, almost a third of which are in Q1 journals. Andrey Yaroslavtsev, Head of the Chemistry programme and Academic of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), told the HSE University News Service about the secret of this success.

HSE University is represented in more subjects (10—an increase from 8 last year) in the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects than any other Russian university.

HSE Art and Design School Graduates Put On Fashion Show

16 HSE University Students Win Student Start-Up Competition
The results of the first round of the Student Start-Up Competition were announced on July 5. The expert jury selected 650 winners from 2,300 submissions. Among the winners were 16 HSE University students, who will each receive 1 million roubles to develop their business projects.

HSE University Ranks Second Among Russian Economics Universities by Graduate Pay
The SuperJob jobhunting and recruitment service has published its 2022 ranking of Russian universities by salary. The results are based on a sample of early-career professionals from the 2016–2021 graduating classes and who are now working in economics and finance. HSE University took second place.

The HSE Faculty of Computer Science has opened a joint department with Tinkoff. The department will bring together the HSE FCS’s extensive research and teaching potential, alongside Tinkoff’s vast practical experience in developing complex software solutions.
International Students Learn Russian Through Theatre Performance
International students at HSE University acted in and shot a film-play in Russian as part of the ‘Russian through Drama’ course. The students spent a semester preparing the play, immersing themselves in the Russian language and cultural environment. HSE University Concludes 12 Cooperation Agreements as Part of SPIEF
During the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov signed cooperation agreements with regional heads, university rectors, heads of companies, government agencies, public organisations, and cultural institutions. ‘When You Get Positive Feedback, You Are Inspired by the Result’
The admissions campaign for the ‘Applied Social Psychology’ English-language programme of the Faculty of Social Sciences has started. From September 2022, this master’s programme, whose structure and curriculum align with those of social psychology programmes at European universities, will be delivered online.
